Which Way Does A Tree Fall? It Falls The Way It Leans. Be Careful Which Way You Lean

Published on March 15, 2012 by

I have a beautiful tree outside of my house. I love the spring so I can take note day by day of her changes. You see, small buds began to bloom a few weeks ago and soon clusters of white flowers. She’s beautiful; young and stunning.

Now as the weeks go on her leaves are starting to sprout and her white blossoms are changing; some falling. Soon there will be no white blossoms and she will be covered from head to trunk in leaves. Many will not stop to notice her beauty as they once did when she was fresh and new. Many will long for when her beauty returns in the future. Many will not find her as stunning as before. Except for me; I will appreciate her just the way she is.

You see, with her growth, while she may not keep her young blossom looks, she will gain stronger protection from the sun and provide better shade for you and me. With her growth she will not only be following the course of nature but allowing others to enjoy her for more than just her looks. I find that to be true beauty.

And one day her leaves will change, wither and fall leaving a bare skeleton of a tree standing. But there she will stand, strong and true, knowing it was her beauty, her shade and her protection that made a difference in the world, even to just a few.

Take some time to go enjoy nature today!

Peace Comes From Within, Never Seek It Without

SOMETHING IS HAPPENING!

Hello and welcome to the new website! This site is currently under construction but about to partake in some amazing changes. So won’t you have a seat, stick around and stay awhile?

For those of you that don’t know me, hello(!), my name’s Amanda. I’m an artist (“trained” photographer, “untrained” painter) living in Raleigh, North Carolina. I’ve always had a passion for art and the creative mind and spirit but have recently fallen in love with the raw creation of art. Amidst my quarter-life crisis I awoke one day and thought, “I need some spray paint.” So you know what I did? I went out and bought some spray paint. I set up a painting station underneath my back porch and the rest, as “they” say, is history. Since that moment I don’t think there’s been a time that I’ve had hands without dried paint across of them. And I like it that way.

I humbly ask for you to stay tuned to this site and keep an eye out for new work as I plan to be updating the site in my future spare time. I would also like to personally invite you to join me on Twitter. Let’s get this Under The Porch Art empire in motion! After all, a jug fills drop by drop.

Please never be afraid to contact me. Your follows, comments and e-mails mean the world to me. I only ask that you be respectful in your messages and I shall, in turn, be respectful in mine.

Yours,
Amanda
